TRAVEL • WELLNESS • FOOD CULTURE • ACTIVE LIVING

Travel well. Live well.

I’m exploring how the places we visit shape the way we eat, move, connect, and live and what we can bring home with us.

I’m Dr. Anya Szigeti, a holistic functional doctor, bestselling author, television health contributor, endurance athlete, and travel writer exploring the intersection of place, food, movement, culture, healthy aging, and the way we live.

From European markets and mountain villages to cycling roads, kitchens, farms, and wellness destinations, I’m interested in what happens when we look beyond the postcard and ask:

What can the way people live around the world teach us about living better at home?

Travel Through a Different Lens

I’ve spent much of my career studying the things that influence human health: food, movement, sleep, stress, environment, connection, and daily habits.

Travel gives me the opportunity to see those same forces outside the clinic.

I’m interested in the things that don’t always make it into a traditional guidebook: why a Tuscan meal feels different from its American interpretation, what a Hungarian market reveals about seasonality, why cyclists fly across the world to ride vintage bicycles over gravel roads, why some vacations leave us restored while others leave us exhausted, or how wine, beer and regional food traditions tell the story of a place.

I often experience those places alongside my husband, Zoli, an avid cyclist, and whenever possible our miniature dachshund, Mylo, two very different travel companions who frequently give me entirely different ways of seeing the same destination.

Sometimes the story is about health. Sometimes it’s about food, adventure, history, or the people preserving a tradition.

Usually, the most interesting stories live somewhere in between.

What I Look For

The everyday details that shape how a place feels: what people eat, how they move, where food comes from, how they gather, what traditions they protect, and how the environment influences daily life.

Why It Matters

Travel becomes more meaningful when we move beyond collecting destinations and start paying attention to what a place can teach us about culture, health, community, and sometimes ourselves.

Dog-Friendly Travel

International and active travel with Mylo: what “dog-friendly” really means and what makes traveling with a small dog easier.

Travel Is Rarely a Solo Story

Much of what I write about begins with the people, and the pup, beside me.

My husband, Zoli, is an avid cyclist and one of my favorite travel partners. His idea of a great day usually involves two wheels, a lot of climbing, and a road that probably would have been easier to explore by car. While I might be wandering a market, talking with a chef, or learning how something is made, he is often experiencing the same destination from the saddle. Those different perspectives frequently make the story richer.

And then there’s Mylo, our miniature dachshund and seasoned international traveler. He’s my hiking buddy, walking partner, professional snuggler, and an excellent test of what “dog-friendly” really means. Traveling with him makes me notice everything from transportation and hotel policies to trails, cafés, green space, and the little details that determine whether bringing a dog feels effortless or exhausting.

Together, they give me two very different ways of seeing a destination and often help me notice stories I might otherwise miss.

For Brands + Destinations

I partner selectively with brands, destinations, hotels, tourism organizations, and experience providers that genuinely fit the way I travel, live, and work.

My collaborations bring together expert credibility, television experience, active travel, wellness, food culture, and destination storytelling with content designed to be useful, visually engaging, and grounded in real experience rather than generic promotion.

02

Wellness + Performance

Recovery technology, wearables, footwear, active apparel, outdoor gear, wellness products, and tools that support active living and healthy travel.

03

Lifestyle + Travel Gear

Luggage, packing systems, travel accessories, dog-friendly travel products, food and culinary brands, and products that genuinely earn a place in my travels.

Partnership Opportunities

Partnerships may include destination storytelling, hosted experiences, short- and long-form video, social content, photography, product trials, expert-led branded content, television integrations, speaking appearances, and ongoing brand relationships.

I’m especially interested in partnerships that allow me to tell a meaningful story not simply feature a product.

For hotels, resorts, spas, tourism boards, culinary experiences, and premium travel brands.

For active-travel, performance, recovery, outdoor, footwear, luggage and dog-friendly brands.

Looking for an editorial collaboration, television appearance, expert interview, or something that doesn’t fit neatly into these categories? I’d love to hear about it.

Editorial Independence

Sponsored partnerships and independent journalism are separate parts of my work. Complimentary products, hosted travel, or paid collaborations never guarantee editorial coverage or a positive review, and relevant material relationships are disclosed appropriately.
