Meet Dr. Anya
I became the doctor I needed when I was the patient.
Before founding Back to Health Functional Medicine, I was active, driven, and doing everything I thought was “healthy.” I was training for Ironman triathlons and ultramarathons, eating what I thought were healthy foods, and pushing through life.
But I was exhausted.
My digestion was off. My hair was changing. My weight was shifting. My mood, hormones, and energy did not feel like me.
Eventually, I was diagnosed with Hashimoto’s thyroiditis. But the answers I received still felt incomplete.
No one was asking why my immune system was attacking my thyroid.
That question changed everything.
It led me to holistic functional medicine, helped me transform my own health, and ultimately inspired me to open this practice so I could help other women stop guessing and start healing from the root.
